4NUCCA Chiropractic Correction
The NUCCA correction is different than a traditional chiropractic adjustment. A gentle and controlled contact is used to correct the alignment of the head and cervical vertebrae. Several post-adjustment checks are used to confirm that normal spinal mechanics and nerve function have been restored.

Hello Dr. Rumsey,I'm 59 years old, live near Portland Or., and am writing tosay thank you, as I believe your website literally saved mylife!About 6 months ago, I was in dire straits; couldn't sleepuninterrupted for more than two hours at a time, had ringing in my ears, severe dizziness, & at times, felt like my brain would move inside my head (no one understood this). Dr Rumsey is highly a knowledgeable NUCCA chiropractor. His treatment on my neck has been a serious life changer in the life of fibromyalgia. I drive 300 miles round trip for my appt and it’s 100 percent worth it. He is kind and takes his time to make sure he’s gotten my adjustment just right.

Dr. Rumsey is amazing!! I’ve been seeing him for over a year and he has really helped manage my post-concussion symptoms. When I first moved to Alaska 6 months after my first concussion, I went to a different chiropractor for one appointment and KNEW I could not go back- they had no idea what they were doing. I have a very rare neurological disorder called Juvenile Parkinson's Disease. Before I was diagnosed and got on the dopamine replacement medications, I was completely debilitated. I could hardly walk and had little to no balance upon standing up. NUCCA was the only therapy I have tried that helped my gait. I have seen several NUCCA providers and Dr. Rumsey is hands down, the best of the best. He has a heart of gold and helped me significantly. I have about a 2 degree or more head tilt. His work... is miraculous. If you are considering Rumsey Spinal care, I would hands down, reccomend Dr. Rumsey. I have seen probably close to 15 chiropractors in my life (military family) and they are not all one in the same. This man heals the body. And I could feel the adjustments immediately! I’ve been to multiple chiropractors over the years, but my lower back has never felt stronger then when Dr Rumsey adjusts me. No cracking, popping, or pulling in his treatment. it is shocking the difference it will make with such little pressure on your neck! Give it a try for any back or neck pain!

I was in terrible pain when I went to see Dr. Rumsey at the advice of a family member. I had incurred a head and shoulder injury and the pain and muscle stiffness was getting progressively worse with each new day. I was having severe headaches, muscle pain and even the side of my face and inner ear hurt as well. I noticed an improvement after the very first adjustment! It's been over a year now, and I was almost completely pain free after about 10 months. I still occasionally have bad pain episodes if I push it too much (business travel carrying too much weight, etc.) but those are fewer as time goes on. The problem with ergonomics as a science is that often the theoretical ideal chair or sitting position doesn't match up with what's actually comfortable. And most of us aren't going to follow ergonomic guidelines that don't take comfort into account, even if it ends up creating problems down the road.
So instead of focusing on purely scientific ergonomics, we are going to talk about practical ergonomics.

In my experience most people who go to the chiropractor don't care too much to know exactly what is being done and why, as long as the problem they come in for gets better. Given how busy most of us are and how many things there are to keep track of every day, this is completely understandable. However, I also think this is a big mistake, and I'll tell you why.

Unless you're completely lost on the internet, you've ended up on this page because there's something you'd like to know about NUCCA. Maybe this is the first you've ever heard about NUCCA. Maybe a friend has recommended it and explained a little, but you'd like to know more. Whatever the case, the purpose of this article is to explain what NUCCA is. I hope it will be helpful for you.

It's frustrating when you don't hold your alignment well after an upper cervical correction. Especially when your quality of life while maintaining that alignment is substantially better than when not.
If the reason for instability is due to a correction that's not as complete as it could be, then at least you have something that can be improved upon. But sometimes you've got a great correction that should hold well, but for some reason it just doesn't. You're careful with your sleep position, work positions, you stop sparring with Chuck Norris on Friday nights, but nothing seems to help, and you're having to get adjusted more frequently than you should.
